Israel-based Allot sees 3G as big biz opportunity, to set up support centre in India
Israel-based provider of IP service optimization solutions for fixed and mobile broadband operators and large enterprises, Allot Communications sees huge opportunity in 3G roll outs in India.
Allot has had direct presence in India for two years and offers services to Videocon Telecommunications, Uninor, HFCL, Aircel and MTNL. "We are in talks with all the service providers gearing up to launch 3G services in India. We will soon be setting up a support centre in India," Allot CEO Rami Hadar, said.
3G will lead to a surge in the data, consumption and this is where the IP service optimization solutions will play a critical role, thus it is a big business opportunity for Allot, he added. The company claims to be growing over 25% q-o-q, and has doubled its revenue in 2 years. It is leveraging its partner strength in the country to install its products and offer service to the customers.
Asia Pacific is a key area for the company as 30% of its revenues come from here, while Europe contributes about 40% to our earnings and the rest 30 % is contributed by the Americas.
To strengthen its base in India, Allot plans to set up a support centre in the country. "The new support centre that we plan in the country will have about 10 people to begin with and will be offering professional services, " Hadar said.
Talking about the company's product map for the country,the CEO said,"Last year we launched AC 10K and we will soon be launching Sigma gateway for the Indian market."
The solution provider aspires to grow to $10 mn strong in two years.
